I attended “Debian Packaging Dojo” at 22 Aug.
“Dojo” (道場) means a training hall for karate, judo, and/or kendo in Japanese. The event is a training for Debian packaging.
Attendants were about 15 people. I could learn modern packaging methods.
The place is Rakuten Tower in Shinagawa, thank you Rakuten company and Taku YASUI <tach at debian.org>.

I like the comparison of Debian packaging to sporting an fighting. 🙂
Hi, this photo is all the more interesting, since it shows that Macs are quite popular in Japan. 90% of the guys seem to be using them. Have they installed Debian on them (this is of course possible, although hardly common). To add spice, the machine visible in the front displays a Windows screen:) How that thas help in packaging?
Please do not take this comment as any kind of offence, I was just wandering because these detais made me curious.
Best Regards

The front machine is mine, I installed Windows and Debian both in it. It is selectable to boot and the Debian partition is also works as a virtual machine on VirualBox.
External display output is not work correctly, so I usually use Windows in some events.
Nice to see some Debian presence in Japan!
